Getting promoted or starting a new job is a great feeling. And as long as you’re still with a USS employer, it means you – and your employer – will still be contributing to your pension.
If you’re now earning over the salary threshold, you and your employer will automatically start contributing to your Investment Builder pot. Even if you’re not over the threshold, a pay rise may mean you’re thinking about putting a little more away for your future. You can do this by making additional contributions to your Investment Builder pot in My USS.
An increase in your pay could affect how much tax you’ll need to pay. To find out more about your tax liability, take a look at our pension tax pages.
